Mid Century TV Lamp, Cockatoo TV Lamp, Tropical TV Lamp, Tropical Bird Lamp, Mid Century Lamp, Maddux of California, Rare
The pictures say it all, this fellow is very striking. From the 1950s by Maddux of California, this TV Lamp is of a Pink Cockatoo with his wings spread. Both sides of the cockatoo are detailed. He is hovering over a dark gray or black planter area, that can hold a planting or left empty, perfect either way.
All is sitting atop a brass footed stand. Note that the on / off switch functions perfectly, this lamps works! And it looks wonderful when turned on. What a great focal point for a mid century or tropical decor.
Definitely large enough to be noticed, measuring 12 inches by 11 inches by 7 inches. Absolutely no chips or cracks. Colors are vivid and true, sets level, all four feet still have their little rubber covers. You will not be disappointed with this handsome hard to find fellow. As with any lamp, although this one functions well and wiring appears to be in good shape, rewiring would be a good idea.
